Frequently Asked Questions
Dear Valued Patient,
We’re writing to let you know that Magnolia Well will be closing and will no longer provide services after May 15, 2025. You may continue scheduling appointments until that date.
Due to fluid regulatory changes affecting the availability of certain medications—including compounded semaglutide—we anticipate that the last day we are able to prescribe compounded semaglutide will be April 22, 2025. This date is subject to change based on regulatory developments.
While these changes are outside our control, we remain committed to supporting our patients during this transition. Please review the following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to help guide your next steps.
FAQs
When is your last day of seeing patients?
Magnolia Well will provide services through May 15, 2025. Appointments are available until that date. After May 15th, no further appointments will be made.
If you do not see your typical provider available, ANY of our providers are happy to assist you.
When is the last day I can receive a prescription for compounded semaglutide?
Due to regulatory circumstances, we anticipate that the last day we can prescribe compounded semaglutide is April 22, 2025. This may change based on regulatory updates. Please plan accordingly if you require a refill or follow-up BEFORE then.
What if I'm a weight loss patient?
There is no need to taper off semaglutide. However, patients who are not transitioned to name-brand or other compounded versions may experience weight gain. We encourage maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise to support continued weight loss. Please follow up with your primary care physician (PCP) for ongoing care and discuss your current dosage (not units), which can be found on your prescription label or obtained from your pharmacy.
Can I get a refill of any medication I’m on?
We will not issue any refills after April 22, 2025. Please contact your PCP in advance to ensure timely care and prescription coverage.
Should I transfer my medical records?
You can request medical record transfers through the Helow/eCW patient portal. Log in, provide your new provider’s fax number, and submit your request. In many cases, showing your new provider your prescription bottle will suffice, but full records are available upon request. You can also send us an email to request a hard copy of records admin@magnolia-well.com.
We appreciate the trust you’ve placed in Magnolia Well. If you have questions, please refer to this FAQ first, as it addresses most common concerns.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your health journey.
